Appeal
An appeal asks an authorized reviewing institution to reconsider the law, evidence, procedure, remedy, or competence of the earlier decision.
Correction
Correction changes an erroneous record or outcome through an identified authority and reason. The corrected record should point back to what it supersedes.
Restoration
When a restriction no longer has a valid basis, restoration can reinstate status, access, resources, or records while retaining evidence of the prior action.
Supersession
